Course Overview

This course equips professionals with practical storytelling and influence tools to communicate ideas clearly, ethically, and persuasively without manipulation or oversimplification. Designed for corporate and public sector contexts, the course focuses on using narrative to align stakeholders, drive decisions, and build credibility in high-stakes communication.

Key Learning Outcomes

Participants will learn how to:

  • Craft clear and persuasive narratives that support recommendations, proposals, and decisions.

  • Translate complex information into stories that are accurate, engaging, and actionable.

  • Balance evidence, emotion, and credibility to influence without manipulation.

  • Identify common storytelling techniques used to shape perception in meetings, presentations, and public communication.

  • Adapt stories to different audiences, priorities, and organizational contexts.

  • Increase buy-in and alignment by framing messages around shared purpose and outcomes.

  • Communicate with greater confidence and impact in high-pressure or high-visibility situations.

Course Objectives

At the end of this program, participants will be able to:

  2. Recognize flawed reasoning patterns that commonly undermine decisions in organizational and public-sector contexts.

  3. Distinguish evidence-based reasoning from persuasive rhetoric in meetings, reports, and public communications.

  4. Identify hidden assumptions and gaps in logic that affect judgment and policy outcomes.

  5. Challenge weak reasoning constructively and professionally, without escalating conflict.

  6. Strengthen the clarity and defensibility of their own arguments when presenting recommendations or decisions.

  7. Reduce the influence of cognitive blind spots in individual and group decision-making.
